Happy Yorkshire Day!

Did you know?

The date of Yorkshire Day alludes to the Battle of Minden, and also the anniversary of the emancipation of slaves in the British Empire in 1834, for which a Yorkshire MP, William Wilberforce, campaigned!

Yorkshire Day is a particularly special day for us here at the Distillery as it embodies locality and the British Army; two things close to our hearts. We love reflecting on our Yorkshire heritage as each of our spirits owe a lot to Gods own country.

One of our core values is locality and each of our spirits embody this. Each of the spirits are inspired by the rugged and challenging beauty of our home here in the Yorkshire Dales and are distilled using natural mineral water from nearby Swaledale. We are so proud of our locally sourced botanicals, elect Yorkshire berries and heather flowers, honey drawn from hives less than a mile away from the Distillery, our own hay smoked black peppercorns and pink grapefruit peel which we prepare and dry. When we say our spirits are a ‘taste of Yorkshire’, they truly are.
